Derby Course
at The Belfry
Birmingham, England
Derby Course overview
Despite often being overlooked for the better known Brabazon and PGA National Course, the Derby Course is still a wonderful course and a must-play for all who visit The Belfry. Designed by Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, the Derby Course is an intricate parkland layout that demands accuracy from the tee, good course management, and perfect club selection.
The course is well-protected by numerous bunkers and water hazards making it paramount that players keep themselves in play to maximise the chance of scoring well. The Derby offers a great level of challenge for golfers of all abilities. The track provides beautiful far-reaching views across the Warwickshire countryside.
Signature hole
The 5th hole is the signature of the course, characterised by the large oak tree in the centre of the fairway which requires accuracy from golfers who will need to drive the ball either to the left or right.
