Port Royal Golf Course overview

Situated along the Southampton Parish shoreline, Port Royal Golf Course stands out as one of the most popular golf destinations in Bermuda and holds a special place as one of Jack Nicklaus' preferred courses. Designed by Robert Trent Jones, this 18-hole layout is the esteemed venue for the annual Bermuda Open Championship. Golfers face challenges from doglegs to the ever-present wind, creating an exciting game of golf on your Americas golf holiday.

Signature Holes

Notably, the 16th hole, perched on top of rugged cliffs with a breathtaking view of the Atlantic Ocean, demands near perfection for a shot at reaching the green. Such is its allure that enthusiasts often book tee times a year ahead to play at this stunning venue.

Did You Know?

Port Royal Golf Course serves as the venue for the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, a PGA Tour professional golf tournament inaugurated in October/November 2019. Due to the consecutive cancellations of the WGC-HSBC Champions in 2020, 2021, and 2022 because of COVID-19, this tournament gained status as a full FedEx Cup point event. Meaning the winner also secured an invitation to the Masters Tournament.
