Dundonald (Dundonald Golf Course)Formerly known as Southern Gailes, this superb new course sits in prime links land adjacent to Western Gailes with Glasgow Gailes to the north and Kilmarnock Brassie to the south. It has been hailed as an equal to Kingsbarns and unsurprisingly, was designed by Kyle Phillips. A classic links, it has been recognised as one of the best new courses in the world (Robb Report 2004). Phillips’ aim was to create a championship course that played and felt like an old rediscovered course and most observers believe he’s accomplished this.
