Sea Pines Resort overview

The Sea Pines Resort is located on the southern portion of Hilton Head and was the first resort on the island, many who visit still consider it to be the best. For accommodation, guests can choose between The Inn (a 5-star boutique hotel) or the self-catering villas that come in a range of sizes.

With three courses onsite, the most famous being Harbour Town Golf Links (an annual stop on the PGA TOUR’s schedule), plus an array of activities to enjoy away from the course and miles of the white-sand beach to explore, Sea Pines Resort is the perfect choice for a truly memorable golf holiday.

Golf Courses

Sea Pines Resort is home to three of the best courses on Hilton Head. The Pete Dye-designed Harbour Town Golf Links is undoubtedly the most renown and has been a PGA TOUR stop since 1969, the 18th hole is famous around the world with the red and white hooped lighthouse as the back-drop to the green. Atlantic Dunes by Davis Love III (formerly the Ocean Course) and Heron Point, the second Pete Dye design at the property make the resort a truly excellent golfing experience.

Accommodation

There is great flexibility when it comes to the accommodation at Sea Pines. You can choose either The Inn at Harbour Town or opt for one of the many spacious villas located throughout the resort. The Inn is a 5-star boutique hotel with just 60 luxurious bedrooms and is located overlooking the 1st tee of the Harbour Town Golf Links, and just ½ mile from the marina and famous red and white hooped lighthouse.

Alternatively, guests can opt for one of the rental villas. These range in size from one to four bedrooms and are perfect for group outings. Each comes with a full kitchen, living and dining areas and a variety of views from the golf course to ocean.

Restaurant & Bars

When it comes to dining, there is plenty of choice at Sea Pines. Visit the Sea Pines Beach Club where you will find several options, from Coast, a stunning beach bar and restaurant to the Surfside Market for freshly made salads and sandwiches. For a great view of the Atlantic Ocean, head up to the second floor and have a drink or two in the Ocean Lounge.

The Harbour Town Golf Links clubhouse is open to all, and their restaurant – Links, an American Grill is an excellent choice for breakfast, lunch or early afternoon appetizers. Fraser’s Tavern is the latest addition to the Sea Pines dining options, here you’ll find a casual atmosphere and a wide choice of food from freshly smoked barbeque to pizzas and salads.

Down at the Harbour Town Yacht Basin, there are plenty more places to eat and drink. The Quarterdeck, Harbour Town Bakery and Harbourside are all favourites with visitors to the area.

Spa & Leisure

A luxurious experience awaits at LeSpa of Sea Pines. Located at the Shops at Sea Pines Center, this full-service spa is the ideal escape from the stress of the outside world.

Location

The Sea Pines Resort is located on Hilton Head Island at the Southernmost tip of South Carolina. Savannah International airport is a 45-50 minute drive from Sea Pines with Hilton Head Island Airport only 15-minutes away.

On Site Activities

Sea Pines Resort has plenty to offer for activities off the golf course. A popular choice by many is renting bikes and exploring more than 15 miles of paved trails. For those looking for relaxation, Sea Pines is bordered by five miles of immaculate white-sand beach waiting to be enjoyed.

Heron Point Course

Measuring in at 7103 yards, Heron Point is a fantastic 18-hole, par-72 course providing golfers with a truly memorable experience at the Sea Pines Resort. Known as a modern-day work of art, designed by the renowned Pete Dye, the course provides a tough challenge for all levels of golfers with dramatically elevated fairways.

Atlantic Dunes Golf Course

Designed by Davis Love and his team, the 18-hole par-72 Atlantic Dunes course measures in at 7010 yards and is a complete reconstruction of the historic Ocean Course. Built on Hilton Head Island at the southernmost tip of South Carolina, the beautifully restored natural sand dunes, along with the addition of thousands of indigenous plants, benefit Atlantic Dunes both visually and strategically.

Harbour Town Golf Links

Measuring in at 7101 yards, this 18-hole links course is a must play. The iconic par-4 18th hole overlooks the sweeping waterway known as the 'Calibogue Sound' that separates Hilton Head Island from the mainland. Considered one of the toughest collections, there are par-three holes scattered throughout Harbour Town Golf Links. The par-four 18th is always one of the most feared finishing holes on the PGA Tour.
