Amendoeira Golf Resort

Amendoeira Golf Resort is situated in Silves, Algarve, hidden away amongst the Monchique Mountains, yet just a short drive away from the South coast. Amendoeira resort offers a mix of modern apartments and villas, and is on the doorstep of arguably two of the most prestigious golf courses in the Algarve, the Faldo Course and O’Connor Course. Golf Courses

There are two onsite 18-hole championship courses in the shape of The Faldo Course and O'Connor Jnr. Course.

The Faldo requires golfers to position themselves well through each hole to achieve a decent score.

The O’Connor complements the neighbouring Faldo and lies in a fertile valley giving off an impression of an oasis with small water features and vast lakes which can test even the most experienced golfer.

Both courses are overlooked by the superb Amendoeira Resort clubhouse, and also offer multiple state of the art practice facilities.

Accommodation

Amendoeira Golf Resort offers modern two bedroom and two bathroom apartments which are each fitted with a fully equipped kitchen and large lounge. For larger groups looking for a golf holiday in the Algarve, the Amendoeira Golf Resort also has three, four and five-bedroom villas, with options for a private pool as well. Each accommodation option includes air-con, satellite TV, a DVD player, a hairdryer, free Wi-Fi, a garage or carport, and outdoor furniture for those beautiful summer evenings. Other facilities in the resort include two outdoor pools, a gym, football pitches and no less than six tennis courts.

Restaurant & Bars

The Amendoeira Golf Resort villas are all self-catering, however, there are a number of meal options. A welcome food pack can be delivered upon arrival with a starter food pack and a special food pack. The Clubhouse located in the centre of the resort has a large restaurant and bar serving breakfast, lunch and dinner. Pre-golf and post-golf drinks can be enjoyed here whilst looking out over the two stunning golf courses. Additionally, the sports club also offers snacks and drinks.

Spa & Leisure

There is no Spa onsite, however, guests receive preferential rates for the VITAL Spa at the nearby Vila Vita Parc resort, which offers treatments from massages and facials to a full body peel. Also, the venue offers two swimming pools, tennis courts, two football fields, a sports club and Gym as well as a kids club.

Location

Amendoeira Golf Resort is located approximately 40 minutes from Faro Airport. Most airports in the UK fly to Faro with a flight time of two and a half to three hours.

There is no shortage of activities at Amendoeira, with boat trips, dolphin watching, fishing, surfing, scuba diving and water sports all on offer for the sea lovers. Hiking, cycling, flying, paintballing, clay pigeon shooting and horse riding are just some of the other activities available. There are three exhilarating water parks, two zoos and a range of restaurants and supermarkets just a short drive away.
