Marketing Assistant - University Placement
Role Overview
As a placement student within the marketing team you will provide support to all areas of the department. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of copy for venues and golf courses, the production of key marketing reports, brand building, reporting and general communication both internally and externally. You will play an integral role in the company’s search engine optimisation (SEO) project and ensure all website copy meets SEO standards across the company’s multiple business units.
You will be expected to think on your feet and give thought to long-term planning. Good organisational skills, time management and the ability to multi-task are crucial. A creative streak is also essential to continue to provide new ideas and activity for future marketing campaigns.
The role will also require you to undertake certain administrative duties to ensure that the department runs smoothly and efficiently.
An interest in golf is desired but not a prerequisite.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with the collating of copy, images and USP’s of properties and courses across all business units
- Update all operational information including driving directions, contact details, check-in procedures etc.
- Assist with ensuring the quality and integrity of the content published (online/offline) is accurate
- Review client usability of websites – provide suggestions to Marketing Department as needed in a structured format (i.e. email/written)
- Awareness of company schedule and timeline of key projects in reference to online launches and timely delivery of requested content for print content material
- Assist with the management and loading of new venue templates including pricing, images, copy etc
- Assist with the SEO strategy, including researching keywords based on user demand, researching the latest trends and techniques, performance reporting, and optimising content throughout the website to ensure it is SEO compliant
- Create content to support campaigns and partnerships
- Liaise with the product team and update offers throughout the site to ensure the very best prices are visible to customers
- Assist with all IT releases and with website testing to ensure that new website functionality is correct
- Create social media content (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok) and support with the overall strategy

Managing expectations of external suppliers and internal colleagues is key and should be your main objective in dealing with any problems that may occur.
This role demands excellent attention to detail, organisation, prioritisation, and teamwork as well as strong communication skills. You will be directly involved, as much as possible, in all functions of the department.
