New Business Sales Consultant - University Placement

Role Overview As a New Business Sales Consultant, you will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with our most valued clients, including returning travellers, lapsed clients, and new leads from other sources. This role combines sales outreach with customer relationship management to increase bookings and enhance the overall customer experience. You’ll be a vital part of our sales team, working toward ambitious targets and representing our brand with professionalism and enthusiasm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Outbound Sales Calls: Engage with previous clients, returning travellers, and other leads through outbound calls to generate interest and encourage bookings for upcoming golf travel experiences.
  • Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients by understanding their preferences, providing personalized recommendations, and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Lead Follow-Up: Identify new and potential clients by following up on lead sources, past enquiries, and lapsed clients, re-engaging them with the brand and turning them into enthusiastic customers.
  • Target Achievement: Drive sales by consistently meeting and exceeding weekly and monthly targets, helping to contribute to team success/targets and company growth.
  • Market and Product Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest golf courses and resorts across the UK & Ireland, Europe and further afield, as well as our specialised packages to confidently answer client enquiries and make tailored recommendations.
  • Sales Administration: Manage sales records, update CRM systems, create daily/weekly reports and create sales opportunities to -
  • Feedback Collection: Gather insights from clients to help improve future packages, customer experience, and client retention.

Skill Requirements

  • You are an undergraduate studying for a degree in a relevant field.
  • Ability to commit to the full 13-month placement scheme commencing July 2023.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Passion to succeed in a dynamic sales environment.
  • Interest in golf or travel is preferred however not essential.
  • Self–motivated whilst willing to be a team player in order to achieve individual and team targets.
  • Maintaining a positive attitude towards all aspects of the role.

  • 2-week intensive classroom training
  • On-going training and support
  • Opportunity to taste other areas of the business

An intensive two-week training program led by current students and continued guidance from experienced members of the team to ensure you have the knowledge needed to kick start your role. On-going training throughout your placement gives you the opportunity to succeed at your full potential.

The curriculum focuses on sales techniques, product knowledge and the relevant systems required to reach desired targets. In addition, all placement students learn and engage with managers, mentors and peers through team projects and other organised events.
