The carefully thought out floor plan and furnishings allows for plenty of space and comfort; with the golf course a short walk away you have everything you could need for a golf break in Scotland.

The Ugadale Cottages received Golf Tourism Scotland’s 2010 Golf Standard Award for ‘Hotel of the Year’ in the small hotel category.

Location

Located on the Kintyre peninsula, 55 minutes by boat from Troon; alternatively drive the long and winding A83 – a three hour drive from Glasgow.

Golf Courses

A Top 100 Golf Course in the world, Machrihanish Dunes is the only course ever created on a site of Special Scientific Interest. The course is as natural as they come, with only the greens and tees being shaped by human hands.

Nearby

Kintyre is a beautiful part of the west coast of Scotland, offering peace and quiet with plenty to visit. The Kintyre Way walk is a stunning network of paths that is a staggering 86 miles long, allowing you to experience the area’s natural surroundings and take in the fresh air. There are plenty of places of interest to see along the way, including Saddell Abbey, Skipness Castle and the Mull of Kingtyre. There is also plenty of wildlife, particularly rare birds; Machrihanish is home to a Seabird and Wildlife Observatory for a fun day out. The abdundance of beaches are a great addition, perfect if you want to spend a day in the sun, fly a kite or take a stroll in the sand. There are plenty of historical monuments dotted around Kintyre if you fancy some tradition and history, some dating back to the 13th century.
