Golf d'Hossegor overview
Often considered one of France’s best golf clubs, Hossegor is a classy venue where golfers are given a warm welcome and the course plays true all year-round. Opened in 1927 under the combined effort of Arnaud Massy and John Morrison, Hossegor has forged itself an impressive reputation and has matured into a Golfbreaks customer favourite. Ideal for groups of all sizes, Hossegor boasts a wide array of excellent facilities to make your visit a sheer pleasure including a fully stocked pro shop, restaurant and bar area, practice facilities, modern changing rooms and even a golf school if your swing is a bit rusty, Golf d’Hossegor has it all.
Golf Course at Golf d'Hossegor
A consistent member of Europe’s top 100 courses, the historic course at Hossegor was built in the 1930s and was a joint effort of John Morrison and Arnaud Massy. Similar in many ways to some of the classic heathland courses of England, Golf d’Hossegor is characterised by its many doglegs, tight tree-lined fairways, heather mounds, and small undulating greens. The course did undergo a redesign in 2012 at the hands of Cabell Robinson who brought the course up to the modern playing standards yet it hasn’t lost its quaint and traditional feel. Golf d’Hossegor is an excellent choice, of course, to play for all groups of golfers no matter the skill level, with many choosing Hossegor as their yearly golf holiday destination.
