Weston Super Mare Golf Club
Bristol, England
Overview
Weston-super-Mare Golf Club was established in 1892 and offers a true test of links golf with its rolling fairways and challenging conditions.
The club is located on the coast towards the southern end of Weston-super-Mare. You can play the course all year round and experience fantastic views across the Bristol channel towards Wales. It offers a challenging test of golf, requiring precise shots in order to achieve a low score.
Weston-super-Mare Golf Club is an attractive links with generous fairways and the wind often playing a decisive role in scoring well. In the summer the greens play fast and true, with tight fairways and punishing rough. In winter the course is barely ever closed and is always played off the real tees.
Signature Holes
The signature hole is the 15th – a 458 yard par 4 which is reputably modelled on the 17th at St Andrews Old Course, with a blind tee shot and out of bounds down the right, and the green set at an angle to the treacherous bunker at the front corner.
