Did You Know
The 18th hole on the Links Course was originally a par-5 when the course was first built in 1980. However, battling with the elements for a number of years, erosion and changing tidal movements took their toll on this piece of the land and it now plays as a challenging par-3.
Our View
The finish on the Links Course is stunning; 16, 17 and 18 must be the signature holes at Wild Dunes. The 16th is a par-3, the teeing area is set in the marshland and you play to a small green with the ocean in the distance. 17 (a par-4) and 18 (a par-3) run along the side of the Atlantic Ocean – a breath-taking finish.
Golf courses at Wild Dunes Resort
Harbor Course
Renowned for being one of Charleston’s tightest golf courses, the Harbor Course at Wild Dunes Resort is set amongst stunning lagoons, salt marshes, and the Intracoastal Waterway. With so much water, this Tom Fazio classic demands great accuracy and is particularly fun when played off the back tees (6359 yards). Aimed at golfers of all levels and abilities, the Harbor Course aims to test all aspects of your game while still maintaining the all-important entertainment factor.
Links Course
The Links Course at Wild Dunes is one of two fantastic tracks that Wild Dunes Resort has to offer. The course is relatively flat being that it is nestled in the marshlands, and even has a few holes that look over the Atlantic. While it may be mostly flat, this course is still a test to many golfers with its undulating fairways and modestly-sized greens. A great option to add on to your Charleston golf trip.
