Find out what makes Crete golf courses so special
There is just one 18-hole championship golf course on the island, located at the Crete Golf Club and Hotel. Although golf courses in Crete are scarce, the splendid course at Crete Golf Club and Hotel affords stunning mountainous scenery and the Cretan Sea can also be seen from across the property. The course has been painstakingly built into the landscape to maintain a natural feel to the landscape.
For those travelling with children, or simply looking to work on their own game, the golf club also has an Academy with PGA-Qualified coaches on site with classes for juniors held each week, with all equipment available to borrow from the Academy!
Where to stay in Crete
We suggest staying at The Westin Resort, Costa Navarino, located in a peaceful retreat located next to the Mediterranean in the pretty region of Messinia. A stunning beachfront hotel it has everything you need for your golf break including two amazing on-site golf courses, The Dunes Golf Course and The Bay Course. The resort has been inspired by old Messinian mansions and all rooms have a Greek feel to them. Conveniently it caters for couples, groups and families.
