The Ashbury Golf Hotel Golf Club overview
Golfers will be spoilt for choice at Ashbury Golf Resort, with seven different golf course options to choose from when on a golf break.
Oakwood course overview
The Oakwood is the shortest of the 18-hole golf courses, measuring just 5502 yards and a par-68. However, don’t be fooled by its length because this is known as the thinking golfers’ course, with tricky tee and approach shots. With 10 well placed ponds and plenty of bunkers this golf course provides fantastic scenery and accuracy is the key to scoring well around The Oakwood.
Signature Holes
The Oakwood Course at the Ashbury Golf Hotel has many holes which could be considered the signature of the course. However, the 7th steals the show and gets our nod for the signature, a 429-yard par-4, players must play the ball up the right side of the fairway to allow the natural contours of the land to take the ball to centre. On approach to the green be aware of the pond which guards the left side, into a relatively tight green which undulates from right-to-left, always meaning you may have a knee-knocking putt back towards the water downhill.
