Barceló Bavaro Palace

Barceló Bavaro Palace is a 5-star all-inclusive golf and beach resort, located in the beautiful region of Bavaro beach in Punta Cana.

The resort boasts 1,402 rooms mostly composed of Junior Suites, an 18-hole Championship golf course designed by P.B Dye, two sports centres with a full-size football pitch, seven tennis courts and the Barceló U-Spa with 14 treatment rooms.

Golf Courses

Guests of the Barceló Bavaro can enjoy exclusive tee-times at The Lakes Barceló Golf Course, located next to the hotel. The course was completely remodelled in 2010 by P.B Dye and is the most recent course on the island. It is a par-72 Championship parkland golf course, measuring 6655 yards from the back tees.

There is a choice of 11 restaurants onsite, and 10 bars. Guests have the choice of two buffet restaurants which are open for breakfast lunch and dinner, the Miramar serves International dishes and Bohio Dominicano specialises in local Dominican food.

Then there are seven a la carte restaurants on offer. El Coral for fish and seafood, Santa Fe Steak House for a meat feast, La Dolce Vita if you fancy Italian, Mexico Lindo for Mexican delights, Kyoto as the Asian option, La Fuente for Spanish tapas and finally La Comédie if you’re in the mood for French cuisine.

In terms of nightlife, there are so many options to choose from. Why not sample Carey Bar in the main lobby, or have a liqueur in the Coffee, Rum and Cigar Bar & Lounge. For sports enthusiasts, you can enjoy the Strikers sports bar, open 24 hours, or the Hoyo 19 for a beer after your round. There are also four pool bars, with Cielo Bar catering only for adults. Spa & Leisure

The Barceló Bavaro Beach Resort U-Spa is unique in the Dominican Republic. Personalised treatments are offered in a refined and calming environment. The glow of candles, soft music evoking the sounds of nature, the scent of incense and natural essences, all contribute to a place where you can wind down completely.

There are a total of 14 treatment rooms and more than 30 treatments available ranging from beauty treatments to relaxing, therapeutic or sports massages. The spa also features a hydrotherapy circuit, thermal swimming pools, sauna and steam room, Vichy showers and Jacuzzis with hot or cold water.

Location

The resort is located in Punta Cana. The nearest airport is Punta Cana International which is a 30-minute transfer. Direct flights are available with British Airways from Gatwick. Flight time is approximately 8.5 hours. Indirect flights are also available to La Romana (40-minutes) or Santo Domingo (2 hours).
