The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club

The Westin Puntacana is the newest addition of the impressive 15,000-acre Puntacana Resort & Club Estate. Opened in December 2013, this modern 5* property boasts three miles of white sand beaches along the turquoise Caribbean Sea and offers a wide range of activities including two Championship golf courses designed by Pete Dye and Tom Fazio. With several restaurants & bars, plus a wonderful oceanfront location this is the perfect place to relax and enjoy great golf.

Golf Courses

There are two magnificent golf courses at Puntacana Resort & Club.

Corales, designed by Tom Fazio, features six ocean front holes amongst rocky cliffs and coral reefs and an Oscar de La Renta designed clubhouse.

Pete Dye’s La Cana is a 27-hole course with the latest 9 completed in 2012. It features 14 holes with ocean views and a great clubhouse with a grill restaurant.

Accommodation

The Westin Puntacana Resort & Club is a brand new property on the Punta Cana estate, set along the coast with all its rooms offering views of the stunning Caribbean Sea. Opened in December 2013, it is of contemporary design, with the latest top-of-the-range room amenities such as 40’’ LCD televisions, Westin Heavenly Beds, floor-to-ceiling windows and more.

Restaurant & Bars

The hotel has two restaurants and three bars on-site, as well as many more dining and drinking options in the town centre nearby. The hotel’s main eatery is the Anani restaurant, which offers international cuisine in a casual environment, and is open all day for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

If you fancy a bite at the beach, then you can sample the Brassa Grill & Bar, which is open for lunch and dinner. Also, as part of the meal plan, guests can enjoy breakfast and dinner at ARA restaurant, located at the Four Points By Sheraton hotel in the Punta Cana village.

The three bars on offer are the Don Gueco Cigar Bar, the Kite Bar by the beach and of course, the hotel’s Lobby Bar. All offer cocktails and snacks where you can enjoy a casual and relaxed atmosphere.

Location

The resort is located in Punta Cana. Punta Cana International airport is just a few minutes away. There are direct routes with British Airways from Gatwick, with a flight time of 8.5 hours.

Nearby

Apart from the two fantastic Championship golf courses that you can enjoy as a hotel guest (La Cana and Corales), there are plenty of other things to do. You can take advantage of the nearby full-service marina and the shopping village, go scuba diving or relax at the Six Senses Spa. You can also experience activities out of the resort such as the Punta Cana Ecological Reserve & Park or take the kids out to the Punta Cana Aquatic centre, both of which are located only three miles from the resort

Post Round

Both courses have individual clubhouses where golfers can get food or a drink after the round. The Caribbean View Grill and Nineteenth Hole Bar at the Clubhouse of Corales Golf Club are especially recommended.
