The Dorset Golf Course overview

Style: Parkland

All three 9’s have been built to the highest standards and boast USGA specification greens and tees. The golf club has hosted many championship events including the South West PGA and The MasterCard Tour Event. It is considered as one of the 'golfing gems' of the south. With four sets of tees and over 7,000 yards off the championship tee, it is an excellent test of golf for all players of all standards.

The Dorset Golf and Country Club boasts some of the most picturesque fairways carved through a forest of rhododendrons. Accuracy is a premium around this stunning golf course as there are many tricky hazards throughout. The waterways combine with Martin Hawtree's trademark cloverleaf bunkers to produce championship golf at its best.

Signature Holes

When playing at the Dorset Golf and Country you can find a variety of challenging holes which makes for an enjoyable round. Providing large greens which are well looked after and a great layout. The Parkland course’s 14th hole is a favourite of many, a tricky dogleg left across water hazards followed by a shot to the green which must carry a deep bunker. The 14th can be known to make or break your scorecard, but you will be wanting to return to play again.
