Broomfield Course
at Montrose Golf Links
Dundee & Perth, Scotland
Overview
The Broomfield course forms part of Montrose Golf Links, which is one of the most historic venues in golf and it was constructed in 1915. The Harry Colt-designed course is shorter and less challenging than the 1562 Course, measuring 4822 yards. The Broomfield is the ideal challenge for all ability levels, with the firm links turf and gusting wind sure to test even the finest of players. The layout is by no means a championship course, but it is infinitely fun to play and is highly recommended on a trip to the revered venue.
Signature Holes
The signature holes are the 4th and the 10th - which are considered to be the most playable. The 4th has a tee shot across the burn along a well-bunkered fairway, that also slopes along the back and sides. The 10th however, is a shorter par-4 and a well-bunkered green that causes a trickier game.
