Mount Edgecombe Golf Course overview
There are two stunning championship courses available to guests, golfers of any handicap can enjoy one of Durban's most beautiful courses.
The Woods Course was upgraded twenty years ago to meet USGA specifications, a rare find in South Africa. The parkland layout course eases you in with four relatively short holes, allowing golfers to gain confidence for the challenges it can offer later. Determination is needed for the signature 13th to 16th holes, imitating the challenges of Augusta's "Amen Corner." The 13th needs to be kept right of the large tree in the middle in order to secure a good chance of hitting the narrow green.
Holes 14 to 16 offer tricky water hazards, often making or breaking your final round score. The lakes course offers a slightly more challenging round, with wild bushes placed in tricky locations as well as, water hazards, testing any ability golfer.
The 8th and 9th are the signature holes of the Lakes Course, situated alongside the Pani Dam and with water guarding the left side of each hole, an accurate tee shot is needed.
