Prince Bishops Course

Durham, England
Prince Bishops Course overview
The par-72 Prince Bishops Course at Ramside Hall offers fantastic views of the world-famous Durham Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Designed by Jonathan Gaunt, the Prince Bishops Course is very much about a risk-reward mentality with many driveable par-4s and reachable par-5s throughout, however, with 16 water hazards in play throughout, you will have to risk it all to score well. If you are risk-averse, then you will be pleased to know the course also features bail out areas and wide fairways for the more conservative player to enjoy Gaunt’s marvellous course.
Signature Holes
The 18th hole of the Prince Bishops Course got our nod for the signature hole. A 435-yard par-4 from the championship tees, it has a slight dogleg left and anything right is in big trouble as two water hazards loom on the right side ready to snatch up any wayward tee shot or approach. The green is large and undulating requiring a firm confident putting stroke to avoid any mishaps.
