The Heritage Golf Course
at The Heritage Golf and Spa Resort
East Ireland, Ireland
Overview
The Heritage is home to Ireland’s only Seve Ballesteros designed championship course. The Heritage has been welcoming a wide-ranging mix of golfers from around the world for over 18 years. Situated in the heart of Killenard the course has been exquisitely designed by the ever-famous Golf legend Seve Ballesteros. Opened back in 2004 and co-designed by Jeff Howes, the Ballesteros course measures 7,319 yards from the championship tees and has played host to some of the world's top golfers, including many multiple major winners. Five prominent lakes and a stream meander through the course, bringing water into play on 10 holes. The course is well known for its remarkable 96 beautifully-shaped bunkers as well as its 7,000 trees that adorn the Co. Laois landscape. A variety of tees allow the course to be played by golfers of all abilities with the course playing anywhere from 5,747 to 7,319 yards.
Due to the remarkable on-course drainage, the course is playable all year round and is equally as enjoyable during the winter months.
