While the club dates back to 1909, golf has been played over the rolling duneland since the 1880's. Two former Ryder Cup players, Des Smyth and Phillip Walton have been members of this links gem.

Laytown & Bettystown has been around for more than 100 years and boasts a rich golfing history, being one of the few true links courses in the world. The layout weaves between dunes and features many undulations in fairways and greens, creating a spectacular test that is particularly difficult when the wind is up.
