Golf courses overview
Both courses at Powerscourt are stunning parklands which are well renowned for having consistently plush greens in amongst the beautiful country estate. The East Course offers a fun and traditional mix of holes, with four par 3’s, four par 5’s and 10 par 4’s, as well as an exceptional couple of opening holes and closing holes.
The West Course is a very contrasting layout, with large, contoured greens, exciting doglegged par 5’s, mature trees and picturesque lakes.

East Course
The East Course at Powerscourt Golf Club has hosted both the Irish PGA and the Irish Seniors Open, showing the quality that the layout has to offer. Rolling fairways and undulating greens provide a stern challenge alongside the many well-placed bunkers that line the fairways and surround the putting surfaces. There are a number of ancient oaks dotted around the property adding to the beauty of the East Course.
West Course
With maximum use of natural assets, mature trees, lakes and stunning views the West Course at Powerscourt is a great parkland track. Designer David McLay Kidd’s intention was to create a challenging course but for the high handicappers to still to have fun. This is exemplified with the signature 16th hole on the 6980 yard West Course, which is a 577 yard par-5 which plays a slight left dog leg with massive cross bunkers in the fairway to catch errant second shots.
