East Course
at Powerscourt Golf Club
East Ireland, Ireland
Overview
The East Course at Powerscourt was designed by the brilliant golf architect Peter McEvoy, who cleverly incorporated the natural environment into the layout. The course is surrounded by hedges, ancient oaks and beech trees, and often the golf becomes second nature as the sheer beauty of the surroundings takes over. One of the hallmarks of the course is the contoured undulating greens.
This course hosted the 1998 Irish PGA, which three-time major winner Padraig Harrington won in a playoff. In addition, The East Course also hosted the 2001 Irish Seniors Open.
