Moorland Course overview
Located on 400 acres of parkland, the Moorland Course at Breadsall Priory Golf Club was designed by Donald Steel and opened for play in 1991. It is set on the grounds of a 13th-century estate with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. Despite being located on the same piece of land as its sister course, the Moorland is a complete contrast and offers a very different round of golf.
The Moorland Course at Breadsall Priory is more open and exposed to the elements, providing great variety for your golf break and offering spectacular views of the Derbyshire countryside.
Measuring in at 6,028 yards, the course provides a tough challenge, combining fearsome rough with carefully contoured greens for a fair test of golf. Thanks to its fantastic drainage system and permanent greens, the Moorland Course is available for golf all year round.
Signature Holes
The signature hole of Moorland Course at Breadsall Priory is undoubtedly the 14th, a 145-yard par-3 from an elevated tee, which requires golfers to be precise with their shot-making as bunkers lie waiting both left and right to catch any shots which are wayward due to mis-hits or mis-clubbing.
