Dale Hill Golf Club is widely recognised as one of the leading venues in the south of England. With two magnificent layouts, the Dale Hill Golf Course and the Woosnam Course, set deep in the heart of the Sussex countryside, this is a must-play resort.
Accommodation
Dale Hill is set in a designated 350 acre estate, surrounded by many historic houses, castles and hop gardens. The historic town of Battle, with its magnificent Abbey is only a short drive away, as is Sissinghurst Castle and Batemans, the home of Kipling. It is also 'Winnie the Pooh' country, so if you lose at golf you can try your luck at 'Pooh Sticks' on Pooh's actual bridge.
The Dale Hill hotel boasts 50 en-suite bedrooms which all come with a Freeview TV, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities and a security safe. The majority of these well-appointed bedrooms are situated on the south side of the hotel with breath-taking views across the two courses at Dale Hill Golf Club.
Restaurant & Bars
Dale Hill has a number of restaurants and bars available. The restaurant and orangery offer a fine selection of dishes, made with many local ingredients. The lounge and clubhouse bars are available for light snacks and drinks until late. Guests can also make use of the 4* leisure facilities which include an indoor pool, sauna, gym and an all-important pool table for some friendly post-golf competition.

Dale Hill Course
The Dale Hill Course, which opened in 1973, offers stunning views over the East Sussex countryside. Measuring 5,800 yards, the course is not long by modern standards, however, offers a great challenge to all levels of golfers. The tree-lined fairways frame holes beautifully, providing for a truly enjoyable round of golf. Each nine offers a different test, with the front nine having a parkland feel and the back nine being heavily woodland often regarded as the more challenging of the two nines.
Woosnam Golf Course
Ian Woosnam MBE’s first European design, the Woosnam, is a challenging course that will test even the most accomplished golfer. Built to USGA specifications the 6,512-yard layout demands accuracy both off the tee and into greens. With fantastic practice facilities, it is easy to see why this is known as one of the best resorts in the south east of England. With a driving range, two putting greens and a practice bunker, there are no excuses for lack of practice!
