The Essex Golf & Country Club

The Essex is host to 42 rooms, all with a relaxing, comfortable style that reflects the general atmosphere of the club as a whole, with large beds and all the expected amenities of a quality 3-star hotel. And of course, there is a fantastic 18 hole championship track and Strike Shack Driving Range.

Golf Courses

This excellent 6958-yard, par 73 parkland course has had a lot of praise for being a challenging, yet fair test of golf. The course is relatively flat however boasts a range of water features and requires accuracy from the tee.

As well as the great track there is a popular ‘Strike Shack Driving Range’, fitted with Toptracer, and has heated bays with the ability to order food. It is the perfect place to tune in your skills before getting on the course, or if you are a non-golfer and want to get involved.

Accommodation

The 42 rooms at The Essex's lodge style hotel have larger than normal beds, superb course views and TVs with satellite channels.

Restaurant & Bars

Guests can dine in Pulse, the Club’s Brasserie, which serves up a great menu with a healthy food section and daily specials to keep a variety of options on offer.

Meals are served in the Sports Brasserie, which offers excellent clubhouse-style fare.

Spa & Leisure

There are fantastic leisure facilities to take advantage of at the club, with a modern Technogym, and fitness studio’s for the more energetic, and a sauna, steam room, swimming pool and spa for those just looking to relax.
