Dumbarnie Links
Fife, Scotland
Dumbarnie Links Golf Club Overview
Clearly a course that has been made for fun, the opening of Dumbarnie Golf Links has long been anticipated. It is a course that players of all levels will enjoy and have the chance to score well on, having been designed to inspire rather than intimidate golfers. The course incorporates three potentially driveable Par-4s and features several holes that engender ‘risk and reward’.
The course conveniently lies around 9 miles from St. Andrews and sits directly along the north shore of the Firth of Forth in Leven, Fife with stunning ocean views. Facilities include practice facilities, a restaurant, a golf shop and caddie services.
Dumbarnie Links Golf Course Overview
Measuring from 5,300 to 6,900 yards, Dumbarnie Links features dual elevations, which are connected by a flowing escarpment and plenty of obstacles throughout to keep things interesting and challenging, yet not impossible to beat. The elevated tees, while uncommon in classic Scottish links courses, mean that players will have plenty of opportunities to take beautiful photos and they will also get a good sense of what is to come.
The third, eleventh and seventeenth holes are short par 4s and real crowd-pleasers with bunkers and swales scattered around them. These are all driveable for long hitters while short hitters will be going in with something small.
The 10th hole incorporates a lake while the sweeping downhill 18th hole provides a spectacular finish as it greets you with a tough two tier green.
