Old Thorns Hotel & Resort was originally a 17th-century farmhouse which still retains much of its original charm, despite having the amenities of a more modern hotel. Set in 400 acres of rolling Hampshire countryside, it is an idyllic setting but very accessible from the A3, whilst also being less than 30 minutes from the M25.
Golf Courses
Old Thorns Golf Club is superb for groups and couples alike. Designed with all types of players in mind it is both forgiving for the less advanced golfers but still a challenge for the best, making it Old Thorns golf perfect for a group with varied handicaps.
Accommodation
Nestled away in the rolling Hampshire countryside, Old Thorns Hotel & Resort enjoys a wonderful location in a 400-acre estate, overlooking its own superb Old Thorns Golf Course.
As a standard, each of their 150 spacious and comfortable bedrooms come fully equipped with an en-suite bathroom, flat-screen TV, coffee-making facilities, and complimentary toiletries.
In addition to the hotel, guests can take full advantage of the modern self-catering penthouse suites. These sleep up to 6 people and provide luxury accommodation with an open plan kitchen, living and dining area, and a mixture of twin and double rooms - perfect for families and groups.
Restaurant & Bars
Old Thorns Hotel & Resort has a great range of different dining options from private dining to an A la carte menu. The 250 seater Kings Brasserie is the hotel’s trademark restaurant, serving food from our Brasserie menu. For large groups, a private function room can also be hired along with a 2 or 3 course menu to make your evening meal that little bit more special.
In addition, Old Thorns Hotel also has two bars – The Sports Bar and the Atrium Bar. The Sports Bar is the perfect place to enjoy a thirst-quenching drink, whilst eating delicious pub food and catching the most recent live sporting events. The Atrium Champagne and Cocktail Bar opens for guests to enjoy a cocktail, glass of wine or spirit in a more low-key environment.
Spa & Leisure
After a day on Old Thorns Golf Course, included in the room rate is complimentary use of many of the hotel’s other facilities. These include a 20 metre indoor pool, sauna, steam room and fitness centre. There is also a small health spa where you can enjoy a range of relaxing treatments (additional charges will apply) or just take in the warm Hampshire countryside. If you would like to book a spa treatment, it is strongly advised that you call prior to arrival to avoid any disappointment on arrival.

Old Thorns Golf Course
Old Thorns Golf Club boasts great quality, opening in 1976 this course is one of the best in Hampshire. Every hole offers a different test, with a mixture of tree-lined fairways, creeks and lakes all adding to the difficulty of Old Thorns Golf Course. Despite not being the longest course, precision is needed here to shoot a good score. With Jack Nicklaus and Seve Ballesteros opening the course, it is clear the quality of golf on display.
