At nearly 7,000 yards and just a par 70, the course is a challenge throughout with only two par 5s, the heart of the course lies in a series of long par 4s, beginning with the 432-yard first hole and ending with the 462-yard 18th. The par 3s aren’t much easier and the 17th will really test you at 230 yards as you try to close out your round. If you are more a weekend golfer than scratch level then the forward teeing grounds ensure that all levels of golfer will get huge enjoyment playing the Fazio.
Many golfers regard the course as the most challenging course on Hilton Head Island. The course is one of the youngest golf courses to be featured on Golf Digest’s list of America’s 100 Best.
