Through the renovation many of the fairways were re-shaped and elevated and teeing areas re-constructed. It was a very worthwhile project as it was voted the 'Golf Course of the Year' by the South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association the following year.
The lagoon winds its way through 11 of the 18 holes and the par 5, 10th is probably its signature. As only one of two holes on the whole of the island that play along the oceanfront, the views on the 10th will have you reaching for your camera.
Playing from the middle tees the course is a very friendly 6,122 yards, however should you fancy a longer test then the back tees stretch the course to just over 7,000 yards. A beautiful layout in a stunning setting and a must play for all.
