Robber's Row Course

Hilton Head, USA
Robber's Row Course overview
The newer of the two courses at Port Royal Golf & Racquet Club, the Robber’s Row Course underwent a redesign in 1994 by famed architect Pete Dye. Originally opened in 1967, the course is characterized as having wide and generous fairways that lead to well-protected greens, placing a premium on mid- to short-iron shot-making abilities.
The layout is a similar length to its sister course at 6657 yards from the back tees and offers four tee boxes to accommodate golfers of all handicap levels. The course is set atop Civil War grounds and historical markers are displayed throughout, describing the events that took place here.
Pete Dye’s redesign made the course more challenging, adding in trees and re-locating bunkers throughout while still maintaining the original look and feel that George W. Cobb and Willard C. Byrd had intended.
