Isla Canela Golf Club overview
Isla Canela Golf Club has two 18-hole, par-72 golf courses, including the Isla Canela Old Course and Isla Canela Links. The Old Course is a parkland course with water featuring on 10 of its holes and is built on a flat piece of marshland with great views of the Atlantic, providing an enjoyable challenge without the need of buggies. Isla Canela Links is typically characterised by its wide open fairways and spectacular views of the Guadiana River.

The Isla Canela Old Course, established in 1993, offers exhilarating challenges with water hazards on 10 holes, demanding tee accuracy. Yet, it's among Southern Spain's finest courses. The Isla Canela Links, founded in 2007 near Ayamonte by José Canales, is an 18-hole, 7,152-yard course with a par of 72. Water is a significant challenge on nearly half the holes, notably altered after adjustments to the front nine. Both courses ensure excellent weather year-round, even in winter.

Isla Canela Golf Club is hosting the 2023 DP World Tour Qualifying School. Since 1976, this event has propelled numerous Major Champions, World Number Ones, and Ryder Cup stars like Colin Montgomerie, Sandy Lyle, Justin Rose, and Miguel Ángel Jiménez into the spotlight.

Isla Canela Old Course
Opened in 1993, Isla Canela Old Course offers its players a range of invigorating challenges. Water hazards play a feature on 10-holes at Isla Canela, so some accuracy will be required off the tee, but don’t let that put you off from playing one of the best courses in Southern Spain. Due to the course’s location, you can travel any time of year and guarantee great weather and pristine conditions even throughout the winter months.
Isla Canela Links Course
The Isla Canela Links golf course opened in 2007 and is located north of Ayamonte, close to the Guadiana River. Designed by José Canales, it is an 18-hole course that stretches around a residential area. It's 7,152 yards from the toughest starting points, with a par of 72. Water is a big part of the challenge, showing up in almost half of the holes, especially after the front nine were recently changed around.
