DLF Golf & Country Club

Widely regarded as the best golf course in India, the DLF Golf & Country Club is an expansive property which is home to 27-holes of pristine golf. The original golf course was opened in 1999 to become the first Arnold Palmer Signature layout in India, the parkland-style course has now hosted some of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Asia, including the Johnnie Walker Classic and The Indian Open.

The newer Gary Player 18-hole Signature Course opened in October 2015 and this unique track challenges even the most accomplished golfers. Combining demanding conditions with distinctive sculptured bunkering and spectacular scenery, the Gary Player Course is one of the most photogenic in the world. Two lakes dominate the front nine creating a par-3 5thhole with an Island Green. The back nine is shaped around a quarry and features giant sloping greens.

The club also upgraded its multiple in line with the new course, which includes opening a new golfer’s Pavilion equipped new lockers, a restaurant and a bar. A well-stocked pro shop caters to all needs of a golfer. The Academy too underwent major upgradation during the same time and opened its Performance Centre, a state-of-the-art training facility at par with the best in the world.

Golf course overview

The Gary Player Course is an 18-hole, par-72 course measuring 7,654 yards from the Gold tees. This signature design was fully opened in October 2015 and is the second course at the DLF Golf & Country Club.

The course has two large lakes, big landforms, large undulating greens, and unique style bunkering among its various features. The front nine offers a par-3 with an island green while the closing holes are built around a quarry and a large lake with massive rock formations.

Strategy is the key to successfully negotiating the course, which can play very differently depending on the tees you play from. Golfers can choose to play from six different tees – Gold, Black, Blue, White, Red, and Yellow. The Gary Player course has successfully hosted the Hero Women’s Indian Open in 2015, a Ladies European Tour event, amongst various other corporate golf events.

The Arnold Palmer course at the DLF Golf & Country Club was opened in 1999 and is the first AP signature course in the country. The 9-hole parkland-style design is floodlit and is the first to offer Night Golf.

The par-36 course features gently sloping fairways and deceptively contoured greens. The true Palmer-style design is a challenge to play on for golfers of all levels. Golfers may play from the Black, Blue, White, Red and Yellow tees.

Signature Holes

The par 3, 5th hole will certainly grab your attention with its generous sized island green. Gentle contouring provides a relatively easy two-putt provided the approach shot is accurate enough to find the putting surface. While on the green, take in the beautiful vistas down the lake towards the number 8 green.
