The PGA Aroeira Lisboa has two excellent golf courses, PGA Aroeira 1 which was opened in 1973 and hosted the Portuguese Open in '96 & '97, and PGA Aroeira 2 opened in 2000 and was designed by the renowned Donald Steel. The second golf course at PGA Aroeira Lisboa is the PGA Aroeira 2. A different style of challenge than its sister course, PGA Aroeira 2 is played out across flatter land and features plenty of well placed bunkers and 5 lakes to negotiate. This is a great golf course for different levels of golfing ability, particularly as there are 5 tees on each hole, giving the golfer plenty of options. PGA Aroeira 2 has hosted the Qualifying School of Ladies European Tour and several Ladies Opens.
