North Course
at Hotel Guadalmina Spa & Golf Resort
Marbella, Spain
North Course overview
The North Course, built-in 1973 by Folco Nardi is shorter at 6303 yards, but with more water features and hillier terrain than its brother, The South. The fairways on the North Course at Gudalmina are wide and undulating so you can go with a driver off the tee. However, watch out for the Guadalmina River, as it meanders through the course collecting any stray balls that cross its path.
The course is not as challenging as the South as is perfect for the average player. The fairways themselves are quite fair and forgiving allowing golfers to hit the driver from most tees.
Signature hole
The signature hole on the North course is arguably the par 4, 11th. Careful consideration of the tee shot is needed to avoid the lake and bunkers protecting the green.
