The Blue Monster Course overview
Re-designed in parts and renovated by Gil Hanse in 2014, The Blue Monster Course has become even more challenging and dramatic. This pristine par-72 Florida-style layout plays just over 7600 yards from the tips and has five tee boxes to choose from.
The Blue Monster has large, rolling fairways and immaculate greens. Water hazards litter the course as well as deep bunkers, providing an incredible test to all golfers. Like many Florida courses, The Blue Monster does not feature much elevation change, but it still provides picturesque views. Conditions are generally excellent throughout the year, and it is no surprise that the PGA TOUR held tournaments on The Blue Monster for over 50 years.
Signature Holes
The signature hole at Trump National Doral is the 18th on The Blue Monster Course. It’s a long par-4 at 473 yards from the back tees and has a huge water hazard that runs along the entire left side of the hole.
A narrow landing area for your tee shot is only the beginning. The hazard jetties out in front of the green making the approach shot very dauntingly. This visually stunning 18th hole is an exciting and demanding finish to the round and has seen much drama during the 50 plus years of PGA TOUR events at Doral.
Did You Know?
Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus have combined to win 6 events on the world-famous Blue Monster Course.
