Michlifen Golf Resort is a 5* luxury chalet-like establishment in the beautiful mountains of the Middle Atlas. Covered with evergreen oak and cedar forests, the mountains, at an altitude of 1,650m, provide a dream backdrop for guests staying at the hotel.

Golf Courses

Michlifen Golf Resort is the home of the first course designed by Jack Nicklaus in North Africa. Throughout the native parkland course, golfers can take in panoramic views, with numerous 100-year-old trees and rocky outcrops which have stood the test of time.

Similarly, the clubhouse is built with the finest stone and wood - again offering stunning panoramic views of the golf course and surrounding mountains. The course, a par 72, is long at 7,325 yards, but with extensive facilities - such as the full-sized grass driving range and short-game area featuring an on-course greens complex and bunkers.

Accommodation

Michlifen Resort & Golf Course offers 70 exceptional, air-conditioned rooms and suites with free Wi-Fi. Each guest room has a balcony overlooking the pool or surrounding forest area. The hotel has a luxury mountain chalet feel as soon as you walk in, with a Nordic-like interior.

Restaurant & Bars

Continuing Michlifen’s mountain theme is the exquisitely designed hotel restaurant, Le Cedray, and its impressive menu. The French menu, with dishes such as foie gras, game, and skewered pheasant as just a few of the many chef’s specials, exhibits the hunting theme of the restaurant. All dishes are accompanied by an excellent French wine menu and amazing service from the large group of waiting staff at the Michlifen.

You will also find the L’Oriental Restaurant, with a menu of Moroccan and Oriental dishes, paying homage to the local cuisine. Completing the wide range of cuisine on offer at the hotel is the Le Chalet, which serves Mediterranean classics such as succulent Italian pasta. Le chalet is where a breakfast buffet is served daily, which features both continental and Moroccan dishes, such as the famous harira. All tastes well catered for at the hotel.

The Lounja Bar is an excellent place to get together at any time of the day, in an ‘oh-so-British’ atmosphere. Whether it be after the evening meal orafter a long day playing golf or exploring Ifrane, the bar has a drink to serve everyone from fine wine to mocktails and cocktails. The secluded lounges, where Ralph Lauren sofas and Chesterfield leather club armchairs sit alongside chequered hide rugs, are quiet and comfortable. The Lounja Bar is a perfect venue for some light entertainment from the live pianist.

Spa & Leisure

The large spa specialises in relaxing water treatments, including jacuzzis and two hammam baths. There are eight treatment booths (five individual booths and three for couples) which can be described as soothing cocoons for moments of pure relaxation. Whether it be a refreshing facial treatment with honey and argan oil, or the Michlifen Signature Massage, the spa has a dedicated treatment for all your needs.

Location

Located in Ifrane the resort is situated between Fez and Meknes, in the majestic mountains of Middle Atlas. Ifrane’s centre is easily accessible via car, as is the popular national park and Royal Palace. The resort is only 59.8 km (one-hour drive) from Fes Sais International Airport.
