Golf Barriere de Deauville
Normandy, France
Overview
Designed in 1929 by Tom Simpson, this magnificent course contains a mixture of tree-lined and open parkland holes which will challenge even the best of golfers. There is no water in the design, but strategically placed bunkers and quick greens make it difficult to score well.
The signature course is a 6508 yard, par-71, making its way through undulating parkland and features some of the most luscious greens in the area.
For newer players, there is also the option of a 9-hole layout (par-36, 3322 yards), which was designed by the renowned architect Henry Cotton in 1964.
Post Round
The excellent clubhouse also offers an outdoor terrace where you can relax with a drink overlooking the golf course. A practice range, short game area and helpful pro-shop, including club hire, can also be found at this superb venue.
