Following an £18-million refurbishment the Royal Norwich is the first Royal Club in the world to relocate, with the new course being designed and built by Ross McMurray of European Golf Design. This experienced course designer has worked on the Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor and The Marquis at Woburn. Royal Norwich is the first UK club to invest in using new technology, Pro File, which means 10% of the root zone in all of the tees and greens (including the academy course) is artificial. Following in the footsteps of Augusta National, the new technology has provided excellent results across the course.
Golf Course at Royal Norwich Golf Club
The new course at Royal Norwich Golf Club has been designed with excellence in mind, with course designer Ross McMurray of European Golf Design leading the project. The course is the longest in the county from the back tees and the shortest in the county from the front tees. with five tee boxes to choose from, visitors are encouraged to play from where they feel comfortable.
