Minthis Course overview
Located on-site at the Minthis Resort, the Minthis Golf Course is a beautiful and demanding par 72 course that winds its way past a 12th-century monastery with breathtaking views of the Paphos Troodos Mountains and beyond, golf at Minthis is a unique and characterful experience. Designed by legendary golf architect Donald Steel in 1994 and renovated by renowned course designers Mackenzie & Ebert, the course is a flawless example of their philosophy that golf courses should fit into the terrain, be in keeping with their setting and focus on the details. In 2021, the course reopened with brand new USGA specification greens and a redesigned layout.
Signature Holes
An undoubted highlight is the stunning par-three, 15th signature hole, where the tee shot is played to the only island green in Cyprus.
Another fantastic hole worth mentioning is the newly designed Par 5 10th hole which is a perfect example of the accurate insight to the challenges you will face. It may be hard to concentrate on dramatically elevated tees because of the picture-perfect views, but you will need a well struck tee shot over the valley to find the generous fairway. Once on the fairway, you are faced with a blind, severely uphill second shot.
With the back of the green surrounded with out of bounds, the percentage play would be to lay up near the fairway bunker at the top of the hill, giving you a 50 – 100m approach shot to the green. It undoubtedly requires some skill and is a hole to remember with one of the best views in Cyprus.
