South Course
Designed by Dick Wilson, the South course may feel tighter than the North course, providing a real challenge to all golfers. The front 9 is fairly hilly, while the back 9 is relatively flat and more enjoyable. Water comes into play on a lot of holes, particularly with the San Marcos creek winding its way through the course. Similar to the Champions course, there isn’t a lack of bunkers- most of them protecting the undulating greens.
North Course
Measuring in at 7172 yards, the 18-hole parkland North Course features wide-open fairways. These seem very inviting from the tee and the minimal amount of rough allows for the odd wide shot but the small, elevated greens require an accurate approach. Water obstacles come into play throughout the Omni La Costa Resort course and the signature hole has to be the par-3 16th, which requires water to be crossed from tee to green.
