South Course
at The Lodge at Torrey Pines
San Diego, USA
South Course overview
Designed by Billy Bell, this 18-hole, par-72 Clifftop course has hosted PGA tournaments such as the Buick International, the US Open Championship and the Farmers Insurance Open. While the course is long measuring 7628 yards, the narrow fairways are lined with thick rough, punishing off-line shots.
The downhill par-3 3rd hole is fantastic- the green is surrounded on three sides by a plunging ravine. Most holes have an ocean backdrop, the par-4 12th and 14th are especially picturesque. Pebble Beach Golf Links™ may be the most famous course on the west coast of America, however, when considering value for money, this Torrey Pines course cannot be beaten.
