Having hosted Open Qualifying for a number of years Hillside also hosted The British Masters on the European Tour showing the quality this excellent club holds. Located in between Southport and Ainsdale and Royal Birkdale Golf Clubs, Hillside more than holds its own and is the perfect addition to any golf break in this golfing mecca.
Golf Course at Hillside Golf Club
Hillside Golf Club is a fantastic example of a great links course. Set amongst large dunes and pine trees creating a beautiful course described by Greg Norman as having the best back nine holes in Britain. Strong winds coming in from the Irish Sea make for tricky approach shots to the more sheltered greens, and also give rise to some spectacular views along the coastline. Measuring 7,109 yards off the back tees, this is truly a course that will test even the most advanced golfers, and is a must play for anyone in the region.
