As a result, it should come as no surprise that Monte Rei continues to boast one of the strongest customer rankings in our entire portfolio, aided in no small part by its Michelin-starred Vistas Rui Silvestre restaurant!

Golf Courses

The Monte Rei Golf Course is set in a privileged position at the foothills of the Eastern Algarve, with stunning views of Serra do Caldeirão Mountains and the Atlantic Ocean. The par 72 Championship Course measuring 6567m from the Tournament tees is a truly challenging design with water coming into play on eleven of the eighteen holes, the course features an enjoyable series of eight par-4s, five par-3s and five par-5s in a brave and distinctive layout.

The course is an idyllic haven of peace and tranquility, with each hole blending effortlessly into this natural canvas; a truly breathtaking experience. The wide, forgiving fairways are coupled with several lakes, indigenous plants and native grasses, that weave throughout the course, providing golfers with a superb test of skill and accuracy. The strategic bunker placement is also one to watch out for, with their fluffy white sands and steep lips making these monstrous hazards a challenge for any golfer that lands in them.

Our experts say...

"A stunning 5* option for accommodation. The villas are modern and spacious for a first-class stay at Monte Rei Resort and can play the course a couple of times! It is a little distance into the closest town, but that is the only negative."
