Bowood Golf Club is proud to be the Official PGA Golf Course and Golf Acadamy for the South West of England. Located in amongst 1,500 acres of beautifully sculpted English parkland estate, the course at Bowood provides some of the finest golf in the South West. The Club features a fully equipped pro shop, and extensive practice facilities, such as an open-air driving range.

Bowood Course overview

Located in Wiltshire, the 18-hole par-72 course runs to 6,692 yards and the well-drained greens, built to USGA standards, mean the course is rarely closed in inclement weather. With two nine-hole loops, there is a range of orders in which you can play the course. The first nine starts at the upper end of the course and the first two holes make an excellent warm-up to a full round. You will feel the benefit of this when you reach the 600-yard 7th hole!

On the way, you will pass some of the 26 lakes and ponds which adorn the course and wider Bowood Estate. The second nine quickly descends past the old Lanteglos church into the valley of the River Allen which is lined by attractive bluebell woods and streams.
