Thailand is a life-changing place to visit rich in culture and with something for everyone. We are often asked by our customers, what are the best golf courses in Thailand?
With tuk-tuks, massages, kick-boxing and epic nightlife, Thailand’s golfing prowess is perhaps lesser-known. But with a heritage dating back to the 1920s, the popular South-East Asian country is home to some spectacular layouts that have played host to European Tour events. We have handpicked a selection of the best golf courses in Thailand to make your decision on where to play a little easier.
As its name suggests, the layout lies within a mountain valley with creeks weaving in and out ready to swoop up any astray golf shot. Despite only being 10 years old, Black Mountain has already hosted both European and Asian Tour events. The experience here is very unique with wildlife strolling the fairways alongside you.

The Old Course at Siam Country Club has hosted the Thailand Open and annually welcomes the Honda LPGA Thai Tournament. Most holes surround a lily-covered creek with water featuring between the 15th and 17th, with those three holes bearing reminiscence of Augusta’s Amen Corner. The Old Course is easily one of the best golf courses in Thailand.

Made up of 3 loops of 9 holes, each is set amongst dramatic, undulating landscapes. Pineapple Valley Golf Club is a very playable layout with plenty of water and sand traps. It’s the type of course that is not too tough for high handicappers but will still provide a challenge for the more seasoned golfer. The Singtoh Island is also in sight on the Par 3, 15th with panoramic views of a stereotypically beautiful Thai island. Banyan is long, accessible and thoroughly enjoyable.

The Plantation Course features Asia’s first-ever triple green, measuring more than 20,000 square feet. Likes its sibling course at Siam Country Club, the Plantation has also played host to several professional tournaments including the Thailand Open in 2015. Located just downtown from the popular resort city of Pattaya, enjoy the unique culture of Thailand whilst visiting one of the nation’s best golf venues.

Springfield offers a full golfing experience from start to finish providing any golfer with a fair challenge. With various tee boxes, the layout is accessible and consistently in superb condition. The signature 18th is an epic par-5 and not for the faint-hearted – if you take a risk and it pays off, a closing birdie is certainly on the cards.
Length: - Back tees: 7043 yards - Front tees: 5660 yards Par: 72 Architect: Jack Nicklaus Founded: 1995 Course type: Links style
The Canyon Course witnessed one of the best comebacks in golfing history when Tiger Woods pegged back Ernie Els and won the 1998 Johnnie Walker Classic in a playoff. With those sort of names having played here, you’ll soon realise how tough a test the Canyon Course really is.
Length: - Back tees: 7244 yards - Front tees: 5943 yards Par: 72 Architect: Yoshikazu Kato Founded: 1991 Course type: Parkland and Links course style
A whopping 7,700 yards off the back tees, St Andrews is an unbelievable Par 74 which is just as spectacular in its beauty as it is in length. Just like its namesake in Scotland, the layout is impressive with the signature hole being the Par 6, 16th measuring a whopping 910 yards. Taming the beast of St Andrews will require a lot of power and accuracy but I'd be sure to bring enough golf balls!
