Yes, tourists can golf in Dubai, as the city welcomes international visitors to its world-class courses, many of which offer flexible booking options, rental equipment, and facilities tailored to players of all skill levels.

Playing golf in Dubai during the summer months (June to September) can be challenging due to extreme heat, with temperatures often exceeding 40°C, but early morning or late evening rounds, air-conditioned facilities, and floodlit courses make it manageable for those willing to adapt.

The competition first took place in 2009 as a replacement to the Volvo Masters, which was a similar event for the leading 60 money winners on the Order of Merit.
