The DP World Tour 2023 schedule promises to elevate the exposure of the events to new heights, so why not experience the incredible host venues for yourself and follow in the footsteps of the world’s best players. Some of the courses included on the tour roster include the world-renowned Le Golf National, the exquisite Emirates Golf Resort, and a home favourite, The Belfry.

Yas Links

Recently named one of the world’s top 25 golf courses by influential US magazine, Golf Digest, this Kyle Phillips-designed course is the first true links golf course in the Middle East. It’s more than just a golf course – it’s an experience. The club features a practice range, practice area, and two outdoor putting greens.

Set against the backdrop of the Arabian Gulf, the Yas Links Course combines all the elements you would expect from golf’s ultimate test: pot bunkers, rolling fairways, and sloping run-off areas around the green that combine to make it a fantastic challenge. Its close proximity to Abu Dhabi International airport and the Saddiyat highway means you are close to Yas Marina and surrounded by hotel options to complete your ultimate golfing trip.

Emirates Golf Club

Established in 1988, the Emirates Golf Club is a must-play if you choose Dubai as the destination for your next golf holiday. The club has an excellent global reputation, based on providing all golfers with the best possible golf experience throughout their visit. It is the yearly host of the prestigious Dubai Desert Classic and the Dubai Moonlight Classic. Emirates Golf Club boasts two supreme on-site golf courses, a comprehensive health and fitness centre, the Peter Cowen golf academy, a fully stocked pro shop, and even a TopGolf facility – everything you could possibly need for a complete golfing experience.

The Majilis Course is known as the flagship course with its immense length, challenging tee shots and lightning-fast greens. Designed by Karl Litten, the course was built on the dunes on the edge of the city of Dubai and has some beautiful natural undulations you are unlikely to find anywhere else. The Faldo Course, formally known as the Wadi Course, makes a feature of its beautiful natural surroundings, while LED floodlights mean you can play this incredible course at any time of day!

Al Hamra

Situated a stone’s throw away from the five-star Waldorf Astoria Ras Al Khaimah, Al Hamra Golf Club is one of the finest links layouts in the UAE. On-site facilities include a floodlit driving range and extensive practice area, whilst a nine-hole floodlit night golf layout is also available. Water hazards are prevalent throughout the course, with four interconnected lagoons and the Arabian Gulf coming into play on the majority of the 18 holes; making it a fun test of golf. With five varying tee options, Al Hamra is an exciting, challenging, and enjoyable course for all levels of golfer.

Marco Simone Golf & Country Club

Located on the outskirts of Rome, Marco Simone offers a challenging layout for all players as the fairways follow the natural terrain of the Roman countryside. The redesign of Marco Simone Golf and Country Club, led by European Golf Design in cooperation with Tom Fazio II, began in August 2018, in preparation for the Ryder Cup in 2023, with course completed and reopened in March 2021.

The playing experience has been further enhanced with extended holes, new bunkers and a variety of starting tees so the course adapts to players of all levels. There are also impressive practice facilities, including a driving range with 3 terraces, for those wishing to sharpen their game.

The Belfry

The Belfry is a fantastic venue set in 550 acres of beautiful Warwickshire countryside and is host to some world-famous golfing facilities. Renowned for having held the Ryder Cup four times, the superb golf at The Belfry needs no introduction. The Brabazon Course and the PGA National Course provide golfers with the chance to follow in the footsteps of their sporting heroes, while the Derby Golf Course makes for a pleasant alternative to the two flagship layouts.

The Belfry boasts 319 well decorated and elegant rooms, and a range of dining experiences await guests at this luxury four-star facility. Enjoy a post round drink, light bite, or spa experience at this all-encompassing golfing retreat.

Royal Liverpool Golf Club

Built-in 1869, Royal Liverpool Golf Club is located on the edge of the Dee shores and against the backdrop of the distant Welsh hills. Having hosted a number of golfing legends over the years, links golf really comes into its own at Royal Liverpool Golf Club, with the coastal terrain at Hoylake exposing the course to threatening winds that can at times be very punishing to your game.

The narrow fairways weave through thick rough, and there are a number of steep bunkers dotted throughout the course, making it extremely challenging to play a safe ball during your round. If the course is kind to you during your visit, you can easily appreciate the true beauty of this English seaside classic.

Galgorm Castle Golf Club

The Castle Course is ranked as a top golf course in Northern Ireland and it's easy to see why. Home to a number of European Tour events, the 200 acres of sweeping mature parkland offer a beautiful challenge set amongst Ireland's historical landmarks.

The castle was built in 1618 by Sir Faithful Fortescue and there can be no more inspiring setting for your golfing requirements. It is bordered by the rivers Main and Braid, together with a magnificent oxbow feature and five impressive lakes. The perfect choice for those looking for a golfbreak with a difference.

The K Club

The K Club is home to two Arnold Palmer designed parkland courses – The Palmer North Course, famous for hosting the 2006 Ryder Cup matches and multiple Irish Opens and The Palmer South Course, which also hosted 2004 and 2007 European Opens. As the only 36-hole Arnold Palmer designed courses in Europe, The K Club has an enriching background as an Irish golf haven.

The North course has been ranked regularly in the top three parkland golf courses in Ireland and hosted the top golf players in the world. The South course is designed primarily as an inland links course, combining a variety of interesting landscapes with dune-style mounding and dramatic rock features throughout. Although the two courses are very different in layout, both courses incorporate the meandering River Liffey throughout, particularly on the North Course where it comes into play often.

Le Golf National

Host venue to the dramatic 2018 Ryder Cup and home to the Open de France, Le Golf National needs little introduction. Located in the picturesque suburbs of Versailles, this world-class golf club is home to two exceptional courses: the famous Albatros Course, known as one of Europe’s finest layouts, and the often-underrated Aigle Course.

The Albatros is a true championship course, with tricky greens protected by challenging bunkers, and will likely require the use of every club in your bag! Equally as impressive, the Aigle Course has been designed with every golfer in mind, with wide fairways and few bunkers allowing you to make use of your driver. The complex is also part of the prestigious European Tour Properties network – a world-class selection of golf venues.

Fairmont St Andrews

Fairmont St Andrews, which overlooks the Auld Grey Toun (the spiritual home of the game), offers 36 holes of quality golf alongside a five-star luxury hotel. Ranking as one of the best golf resorts in Scotland, it is the perfect location to make the most of St Andrews and the surrounding area.

The resort is home to two championship length golf courses, The Torrance and The Kittocks. The Torrance is an Open Championship Qualifying course that ranks top-60 in Scotland, and The Kittocks features a few striking holes along the cliff edge. There can be few better ways to watch the sunset than taking in the views of the Kittocks and Torrance courses, with the St Andrews skyline in the distance while enjoying a relaxed drink in the clubhouse.

Gary Player Golf & Country Club

One of the most famous courses in South Africa, the layout of Gary Player Country Club at Sun City is continually ranked as one of the best in the country. The course is both demanding and picturesque, with some claiming it to be the toughest course in the Southern Hemisphere. The 18-hole, par 72 championship parkland course is in excellent condition all year round and is the annual host to the Nedbank Golf Tournament – one of the first events on the Tour’s calendar.

Although the parkland layout is fairly flat, many water hazards, cunningly positioned bunkers and hidden pin placements make it a fantastic test for all. The course is immaculate with wide Kikuyu fairways bordered by thick bushveld, offering a real feature to the layout. This is a must-play course in the fairy-tale golf holiday destination, Sun City.

Jumeirah Golf Estates

One of Dubai’s most prestigious and popular venues, Jumeirah Golf Estates has two outstanding courses and incredible facilities to host your next golfing adventure. Both the Earth and Fire courses are fantastic examples of the kind of golf experience you can expect while in Dubai – with the Earth Course as the yearly host of the Race to Dubai finale.

The Earth Course is a sharply defined course that took inspiration from the classic UK and North American parkland designs with strategic bunkering, rolling terrains, water features, and tree-lined fairways. The Fire Course is another beautifully designed course that offers a contrasting experience and is characterised by its use of native flora and undulating topography.
