We’d recommend checking out breaks in the Spring and Autumn when temperatures are warm, but without some of the higher extremes of mid-Summer.

Regarding the golf, The Lakes Barcelo Course underwent a remodelling in 2010 and weaves its way around 25 lakes and more than 120 strategically placed bunkers. Montecastillo Golf Course was the first Jack Nicklaus Signature design in the country. The incredible parkland layout has previously been host to the Volvo Masters and will certainly provide a challenge to every level of golfer.

Never has the phrase ‘last but not least’ been more apt than with our final offering! The Heritage Awali Golf & Spa Resort in Mauritius draws on the African culture from which much of the island benefits, with an eco-inspired hotel creating an idyllic and natural-feeling haven on the south of the island. The Heritage Golf Course is set within the heart of the resort, and takes in the lagoons and the dramatic coastline, making for a scenic experience throughout the round.

The site is jam-packed with restaurants, bars, spas and swimming pools, as well as a fitness centre and tennis courts for those looking to be more active on their holiday. However, we wouldn’t blame you whatsoever for simply throwing down a towel on the hotel’s beach and enjoying your afternoon by the water after a morning on the course!
