One of the best things about the game of golf is the ability to travel the world, playing the sport you love against a new and different backdrop with each round. With courses around the globe, we’re spoiled for choice when it comes to scenic surroundings, so we’ve listed out some of the most beautiful golf courses in the world that you can play on your next golf holiday.

Assoufid Golf Club

Ile aux Cerfs (Mauritius)

Amongst our most popular worldwide destinations, Mauritius is one of the most beautiful countries in the world. This tiny tropical island is surrounded by clear blue water and crisp white sand, providing a stunning contrast against the lush green courses. The hotels here are as beautiful as the backdrops, with the Constance Belle Mare Plage, Heritage Awali Golf & Spa, Anahita Golf & Spa, and Shangri-La Le Touessrok some of most-visited by our clients.

There’s plenty of golf to choose from too, however, for a course unlike any other you’ll have ever played before, check out Ile Aux Cerfs. This Bernard Langer design is a 10-minute boat ride from the mainland and is spread across its own island – offering stunning views of the water. With five sets of tee boxes, the course is playable for golfers of all ability, with an on-site Golf Academy also available for those looking to tune up their game!

Lofoten Links (Norway)

Admittedly not the first country that comes to mind when thinking of a golf break, but perhaps it should be if you’re looking for something truly special! Lofoten Links is an incredibly unique golf course, laid out within the Arctic Circle, it’s possible to play golf here 24-hours a day through the summer. The Northern Lights are often visible too, creating the most breathtaking views across the water, truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Travelling to Lofoten can involve several changes of flight and ferry, and so we’d recommend speaking with our team to get the perfect trip booked in, leaving you to enjoy the beauty of your surroundings (and hopefully your golf too…).

Assoufid (Morocco)

The Atlas Mountains provide one of the world’s most gorgeous golfing backdrops to the courses in Morocco. The country has it all, with a perfect golfing climate through much of the year, coupled with unbelievable hospitality and perhaps more off-course activities than any other country in our portfolio!

Assoufid Golf Course

In Marrakech, you’ll struggle to find a better view of the Atlas Mountains than at Assoufid Golf Club, which also happens to be one of the most awe-inspiring desert courses in the world. Away from the mountains and the courses around Marrakech, the seaside city of Agadir is fast-becoming one of our most popular getaways. Its coastal location lends itself to stunning seafood cuisine with the cooling sea-breeze making it more appealing for summer trips than some of the hotter, more desert-based breaks in Morocco.

Black Mountain (Thailand)

An exotic escape, Thailand is a varied holiday destination, catering to breaks for every type of group imaginable. The landscape is amongst the most picturesque on the planet, with tropical lagoons, stunning mountains, crystal-clear waters, and some phenomenal golf courses.

Famously, Black Mountain Golf Club has played host to the European Tour with local Thai favourite Thongchai Jaidee missing out on victory by a single stroke in the inaugural event. The course here is laid out amongst the foothills of the valley and is immaculately maintained throughout the year.

Black Mountain Golf Club & Resort

The on-site villas at the resort are the perfect base for your break, allowing you both luxury and independence as you explore the area. If you’d prefer more of a city-based break, Bangkok is amongst the most colourful capitals in the world. From traditional temples and street markets to some of the finest dining and shopping you’re ever likely to find – a trip here is something truly magical.

Thracian Cliffs (Bulgaria)

If you’re looking to base your break around the golf, you’ll struggle to find a more breathtaking break than at Thracian Cliffs in Bulgaria. This Gary Player design has the unique distinction of every hole having a sea-view. And this isn’t just any sea view! This unspoiled vista across the Black Sea presents some of the clearest water you’re ever likely to see, with the bright white sand below acting the perfect buffer between the greenness of the fairways and the water below.

Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort

There is loads to do on-site as well, with daily tennis, yoga, riding and fitness classes, as well as regular beach parties and live music. However, make sure to really spend some time on this golf course, immersing yourself in the wonder of the surroundings.

Any course (Dubai)

No list of breathtaking breaks is complete without mention of Dubai. Since the European Tour began visiting the Emirate in 1989, we’ve all watched the city grow before our own eyes. Every year sees a new skyscraper, acting as a sightline across the state’s many incredible golf courses.

Dubai is the ultimate in luxury, with five-star hotels, fine dining, and the world’s best shopping in abundance. We’d always recommend adding the Emirates Golf Club to the trip, so you can emulate the world’s best players. However, with the Jumeirah Golf Estates, Els Club, Dubai Creek, Arabian Ranches and The Address Montgomerie – there’s plenty of world-class golf to choose from.
